ABOUT KRISTINA
Kristina Tesser Derksen is a devoted community leader with an impressive record of community service. A two-term elected town councillor, local lawyer, wife, mother, and engaged community member, Kristina has shown her determination to make life better for families in the community. She is committed to working with prime Minister Carney to build a thriving economy by investing in our middle class and those working hard to join it, and keep Canada strong and free. Born and raised in Milton, Kristina has spent her entire life in Halton giving back to the community she loves. Kristina’s husband, Chris is a small business owner and their four children are young adults striving to achieve the dream of home ownership and rewarding jobs. Kristina has a unique understanding of Milton and Georgetown’s vibrant character and community, and she is a hardworking Member of Parliament, representing the community's interests in Ottawa.

As a daughter of working class parents, Kristina has seen firsthand the opportunities and challenges that middle class families face every day, and she understands the priorities of the community. Kristina volunteers her time with several organizations, having sat as a Director on the boards of the Townsend Smith Foundation, Conservation Halton, Milton Chamber of Commerce, Milton Downtown Business Improvement Area and Canadian Federation of Women (CFUW). She is also a committee member of the Nassagaweya Community Consultation Committee and the Milton Quarry Community Advisory Committee. Kristina’s professional career has always been in providing service: after several years working in the funeral service profession caring for families in Georgetown and Milton, Kristina studied law at the University of Toronto and runs her own Main Street practice in downtown Milton. Kristina was called to politics by the drive to make life better for her community and stand up for the people of her town, region, and country. Now, more than ever, Kristina feels compelled to contribute through leadership and political engagement. Kristina will never stop working hard to build a better future for the families of the community, where everyone has an equal and fair chance at success.
